How to Create a Link to a PDF File

Are you looking to upload a PDF to your website and allow potential visitors to download it?

Creating a link to a PDF file is a great way to do just that. In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the steps of creating a link to a PDF file from your Clinic Sites website.

Step 1: Create a new page.

The first step is to create a new page where you can upload your PDF file. To do this, go to the quick add menu in the top right corner and select "create a new page". Give your page a name, such as "file uploads". It's important to note that this page should not be publicly accessible to visitors, so make sure to unpublish it.

Step 2: Upload your PDF file.

Once your new page is created, you can now upload your PDF file. Under the "file" section of your page, click "add file attachment" and choose the PDF file you want to upload. Once you have selected your file, click "save page" to upload the PDF to the page.

Step 3: Copy the link address.

After the PDF file is uploaded, you can now create a link to it. Click on the file download section and right-click on the file you just uploaded. Select "copy link address" from the options. This will copy the link to your clipboard.

Step 4: Link to the PDF file.

Now that you have copied the link address, you can add it to any page or section of your website where you want to link to the PDF file. To do this, go to the area where you want to add the link, such as a button or text. Click "edit" on that area and scroll down to where you want to add the link. Paste the link address you just copied and make sure to indicate that it is a PDF file. You can also choose whether to open the PDF file in a new tab or in the same tab as your website.

Step 5: Upload your block element.

Once you have added the link, you can upload your block element to make the link live on your website. Click "upload block element" and you're done! Visitors to your website can now click the link and download your PDF file.

Step 6: Uploading additional PDF files.

If you have more PDF files you want to upload, you can simply go back to your new page under "file uploads" and repeat the process. You can upload as many PDF files as you need.
