How to Link to External Websites
- To link to an external website from your primary menu:
- Click on the admin menu at the top right of the page.
- Select "menus" from the dropdown options.
- Choose one of the current menu options and click the 3 dots to edit.
- Click on the "Link to" drop down to choose where you want to link to.
- Select from preset options or paste an external link with HTTPS:// at the start.
- Save the changes.
- To link to an external site using one of the website's blocks:
- Edit an existing block by clicking the little pencil that says "Edit element".
- Edit the element to add a button.
- Add text for the button
- Choose where you want the button to link to. Either another page on your site or using an external link with HTTPS:// at the start.
- Choose whether you want the link to open in a new tab.
- Save the changes.
- To link directly from within text:
- Edit an existing block by clicking the little pencil that says "Edit element".
- Highlight the text you want to link
- Use the text editor to find the "insert a link" option. 🔗
- Paste the external link with HTTPS:// at the start.
- Click "OK".
- Save the changes.
